Visciolì – Sour Cherry Wine "Az. Agricola Gentilini"

Visciolì is one of the most unusual and fascinating products from the Marche tradition: a wine made entirely from Cantiano sour cherries (visciole), produced by Az. Agricola Gentilini in the hills near Cantiano.

Made by fermenting whole visciola cherries, it sits somewhere between a fruit wine and a cherry liqueur: deep ruby-red, intensely fragrant, with a characteristic sweet-tart profile and a lusciously fruity, slightly bitter finish.

Excellent as a digestif, dessert wine, or poured over vanilla ice cream. Also superb in cocktails and with dark chocolate.
