Organic Sultana Raisin Sweet Tesserae – Biscotti Bizantini

It's no coincidence they're called "tesserae": their shape deliberately recalls the small tiles of the mosaics that make Ravenna a UNESCO heritage site, so much so that in the city they are also known as "Ravenna's sweet tesserae".

This version carries 16.5% sultana raisins, combined with type "0" soft wheat flour, cane sugar and high-oleic sunflower oil. As throughout the line, rosemary extract acts as a natural antioxidant, without altering the sweet, fruity taste of the raisins.

The biscuit is crumbly and not too sweet, with the sultanas giving softness and a fruity aftertaste to every tessera. Organic and 100% plant-based, like the bakery's entire production.

Excellent for breakfast, with tea, or simply as a mid-day treat.
