Organic Candied Orange Sweet Tesserae – Biscotti Bizantini

Almost a fifth of the biscuit (18.8%) is candied orange peel: the highest fruit percentage among all the sweet tesserae in the line.

Produced since 2021 by the Mazzoni Bakery of Ravenna following the historic recipe of the Randi-Sirotti family, the Byzantine Tesserae were born from a simple idea: giving mosaic shape to an artisanal biscuit made with few real ingredients. In this version, candied orange peel joins type "0" soft wheat flour, cane sugar and high-oleic sunflower oil.

The result is a fragrant, citrusy biscuit, with well-distributed pieces of candied fruit giving a sweet-bitter note to every bite. Crumbly, organic and 100% plant-based.

Enjoy at breakfast or at the end of a meal, perhaps with black tea or coffee.
