Artisan Forest Honey

Unlike floral honeys, our Forest Honey (Miele di Bosco) is a honeydew honey – produced by bees collecting the secretions of insects that feed on forest tree sap, rather than floral nectar.

Dark in colour, almost amber-brown, with a complex, intense flavour: notes of caramel, malt, resin and dried fruit, with a pleasant bitter finish. Less sweet than floral honeys, it pairs superbly with aged and blue cheeses, dark bread and charcuterie.

Rich in minerals and with a naturally lower sugar content, it is also prized for its nutritional properties.
