"La Manina" 2024 – Manincor
The historic buildings of this estate on Lake Caldaro date back to 1608, and the name itself preserves a sixteenth-century heraldic emblem: a hand clutching a heart, still carved on the façade today.
Since 1978 the property has belonged to the Enzenberg-Goëss family; since 1991, under the guidance of Count Michael Goëss-Enzenberg, the estate's fifty hectares have been progressively converted to biodynamic farming, with full certification since 2009. "La Manina" is part of the estate's everyday wine line.
A white blend based on Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, with brief cold maceration and six months on fine lees in steel. Straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights; a lively nose of citrus, green and yellow apple, pear, white peach and mountain aromatic herbs; a fresh, lean, savoury palate.
Excellent with vegetable starters, fresh mountain-pasture cheeses, lake fish dishes, or as an aperitif.
