Vino Cotto Ring Biscuits – Il Lorese
15% of the dough is the same Vino Cotto that the winery bottles in Loro Piceno: the ring biscuit is literally born from the family's own wine.
Produced by Azienda Agricola Il Lorese, the same estate that produces the traditional Marche Vino Cotto in Loro Piceno, these ring biscuits combine type "00" and "0" soft wheat flour, sugar and high-oleic sunflower oil with the estate's own vino cotto, which gives a warm, amber colour and an almost caramel-like aroma.
The result is a compact, not-too-sweet biscuit, with a persistent winey aftertaste, perfectly in the style of the Marche farming tradition of using vino cotto in the kitchen.
Excellent at the end of a meal or dipped in a glass of the same Il Lorese Vino Cotto.
