Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Pinot Noir – Domaine Guy Simon & Fils

It's the estate's most accessible bottling, without the name of a specific cru on the label, but from the same hand that signs "Les Dames Huguettes en Fûts".

Domaine Guy Simon & Fils has worked the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits since the 1970s, when the family was among the first to replant these high-altitude lands after a long period of abandonment. This Pinot Noir gathers grapes from the estate's various plots, without the more pronounced barrique passage reserved for the flagship cuvée.

Bright, luminous ruby colour; a nose of ripe red fruit, redcurrant and cherry, with floral hints and light spicy shades. The sip is harmonious and fresh, with fine tannins and a silky texture, closed by a long, delicately mineral finish.

A versatile Pinot Noir: good with white and not-too-structured red meats, medium-aged cheeses, or simply as an all-purpose meal wine.
